How to read these numbers
A percentage here is the share of Delhi where all of the listed requirements are met at once — not the share that has one of them. That is why “without a car” is always the harshest test: four things, all within five minutes, is genuinely rare.
Walking times are straight-line distance at 80 m/min. They are not routed, so in a city split by a river or a motorway they read slightly optimistic. Place data is from OpenStreetMap contributors, last refreshed 2026-03-02.
