Why this is not available elsewhere
Google's and Mapbox's terms forbid storing or redistributing their results. That rules out caching them, putting them in your own database, or shipping them to your customers. Our data is OpenStreetMap under ODbL: you must show attribution, and in exchange you may keep and redistribute what you get back. For an embedded product that difference is the whole thing.
We are describing the licence, not giving legal advice — take your own before it becomes a claim in your marketing.

Honest limits
Walking times are straight-line at 80 m/min, not routed — label them that way to your users as we do. Coverage is global but uneven, strongest in Europe and North America. The map data was last refreshed 2026-03-02.
